Flying foxes, or fruit bats, help our rainforests

Bats are the world’s only flying mammal, and the fruit and nectar eating variety (flying foxes), are responsible for pollinating our rainforests. They are protected Australian species, and it is illegal to cause them harm. Because the females only have one baby a year, they are very vulnerable to extinction, which would spell disaster to many of our eucalyptus trees.
